We know how important a dog can be to a family, so important in fact that many families have two or three. They are equal members of the family, if a litle fluffier! There is no reason they can't be factored into your planning when deciding where to go, especially if you come to the Peak District and stay in one of our many dog-friendly cottages. The Peak District is like one big adventure playground for any dog, with woodlands, hills and mountains to play on, and if you get a cottage with an enclosed garden the pooch will be even happier with you at the chance to play outside all day!

Roman Farm (sleeps 18)
This beautiful secluded country house is a real rural retreat, whether you want to stay home and relax in the serene surroundings or explore the Peak District countryside this place has it all.

Set on the fringes of the delightful Peak District village of Chelmorton, where there is a local village pub for kicking off muddy boots and relaxing after a day spent outdoors. The stunning Chatsworth House, Farm Shop and Gardens are a short drive away. The popular towns of Bakewell, Matlock and Buxton provide an array of independent shops, cafes and pubs to enjoy. Make the most of the exceptional location for walking, cycling and outdoor pursuits with the two nearby off-road bike routes of the Monsal Trail and Tissington and High Peak Trail. Surrounded by open fields you will find public footpaths from the doorstep to explore exactly what the stunning Peak District countryside has to offer.

The White Cottage (Sleeps 8)

Located midway between Buxton and Bakewell, this spot makes a perfect base from which to explore the two towns and surrounding areas. There are many excellent picturesque walks from the doorstep, nearby Monsal Dale, with its famous trail, Millers Dale and High Dale are only a short walk away. Walkers can enjoy spectacular views and the opportunity to observe an abundance of wildflowers, animals and birdlife. For those seeking the grandeur of the English country houses, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are just a short drive from the property, make sure you stop and visit the popular Chatsworth Farm Shop and stock up on goodies.

Hawkston Lodge (Sleeps 6)
Situated on the northern reaches of Dovedale and boasting a plethora of exciting hiking trails, this grand property in the village of Parsely Hay is luxurious and inviting. Sleeping six in utter seclusion, you’ll soon be navigating some of the best walking routes in the Peak District from your doorstep followed by leisurely evenings snuggled up by the wood burner. A top destination for cyclists, your accommodation is close to the renowned Tissington Trail and the High Peak Trail. You can also soak up the scenery of the White Peak and South West Peak whilst gliding along traffic-free routes. Slightly further afield, Hartington (4 miles) is a traditional limestone village with a picturesque duck pond and several inviting shops selling delicious local produce.
