Stonelands Farmyard Cottages - Dog Friendly Accommodation in Litton, Yorkshire

In 1990, having farmed in Littondale for generations, the Cowan family converted the original stone-built farm buildings which were over 200 years old – this was the beginning of Stonelands Farmyard Cottages which has now been a family run business for 20 years, being owned & run since 2012 by ourselves – Mark & Ruth Cowan.

A fantastic all year round destination, Stonelands caters for every kind of holiday, whatever you are looking for. From romantic if you’re looking to celebrate a first or even second honeymoon, to walking breaks for the more energetic at heart. Even just to relax and enjoy a short, lazy break as Stonelands provides the ultimate antidote to the ever-demanding pressures of everyday life.



The cottages are a unique cluster of family run, awarding winning barn conversions, many retaining their unique, original features. The barn that houses the heated swimming pool is over 200 years old. The Cottages are surrounded by a beautiful and charming valley and provide a ideal home away from home. Stonelands is located on the outskirts of the friendly hamlet of Litton, ideally situated in the unspoilt countryside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The Cottages:
Roselber (Sleeps 6) sorry, no pets: Roselber is perfect for a large family. This spacious, charming cottage has spectacular views of wood and meadows.

Skirfare (Sleeps 6) pets welcome: A fantastic, detached cottage for a larger family. This delightful cottage has views over the raised lawn and into it’s own garden at the rear and down the meadows beyond.



Honey Pot (Sleeps 2) sorry, no pets: A delightful apartment with lovely views up the valley towards Litton. Ideal for a first, or even second honeymoon. Situated on the first floor above the pool area.

Tansy Close (Sleeps 4) sorry, no pets: Tansy Close was once part of the milking parlour, hence its superb arched windows in the master bedroom. The cottage features exposed beams.



Sandhams (Sleeps 2) sorry, no pets: This snug apartment has lovely views over the meadows towards the river. Situated on the first floor above the pool area.

Guildersbank (Sleeps 4) pets welcome: Guidlesrbank is an attractive cottage featuring exposed beams.



Elbeck (Sleeps 2) pets welcome: A delightful, one bedroom semi-detached cottage.

Spion Cop (Sleeps 2) sorry, no pets: Set at one end of the barn, Spion Cop has views over the courtyard and up to the woods. Situated on the first floor above the pool area.
