“Charlie and Joanne bonded from the moment they met, which was a great relief as Charlie had never been left with someone he didn’t know. Joanne was great, she looked after Charlie as though he was her own pet. She kept to Charlie’s routine, walking him regularly (despite the awful weather), keeping to his set mealtimes and most importantly treating him as a member of the family. I would definitely recommend Pet Stay as a “home away from home”. “This is the second time that our dogs have stayed with Katherine and Jason through Petstay. We would never leave our dogs in a kennel, particularly our toy poodle who usually gets very stressed and distressed if we try and leave him with anyone so we haven't had a foreign holiday for a long time. “I had never used petstay before and as with all new things you tend to be a bit careful but I can say with confidence that the service was very good, I was given a lot of information and then went to see the home boarder at her home, I left with no concerns Mandy clearly understood my dogs behaviour which if you didn’t understand them could look like difficult behaviour. They appeared to have a really good stay and Mandy told us they had been trouble at all and in fact joked that she would not give them back! I’m sure I will feel very confident when using this service again.”

“My 8 year old Yorkie Peppa stayed Zoe one of Petstay's lovely boarders whilst we were away for almost two weeks. Peppa is very set in her ways and has fear aggression with other dogs and people so I was worried about her staying with someone new in an area that was also new to her. I needn't have worried one bit! Peppa was treat like a princess by Zoe. Walked three times per day in the local park, at times picked by Zoe when she knew it wouldn't be very busy so that Peppa didn't feel threatened by other dogs. Whilst Zoe was at work (short shifts so dog is never left for long) her elderly mum would pop over the road and sit in the garden with Peppa and give her treats. Peppa soon figured this out and started sitting by the gate watching for her! I got regular updates through WhatsApp with lovely pictures so I could see her enjoying herself. I would not hesitate to book with Zoe again.”

“I adopted my beautiful rescue greyhound, Amber, in July of 2017. Very soon after that I had two occasions where I needed pet sitting services, one for a long weekend in Scotland and one, unexpectedly, for two weeks when my mother in Canada had an accident. Lauren found Gina from Bradford straight away and as soon as Amber and I visited I had enormous confidence that Amber would be well cared for. I came back on both occasions to a happy dog and knew for certain that she had all the care and affection she needed while I was gone. More recently I had another two weeks abroad and Amber stayed with Rachel, a new dogsitter in the Halifax area. She settled in very well and Rachel sent me loads of photos while I was away to keep me in the loop which was brilliant...it made me smile to see Amber so happy. A new dogsitter is in the offing for an unexpected two day trip to Amsterdam and I look forward to another great experience. One thing that has been brilliant about Lauren and PetStay is that she has been able to accommodate my last-minute requirements with terrific dogsitters which takes away a great deal of the anxiety I feel when I have to leave Amber. “We're usually fortunate to be able to leave Molly with family or friends, but as it was our wedding all our usual helpers were with us. I wasn't keen on the idea of leaving her in a kennels as she's a very socialble dog and loves being with people, so thankfully i came across Petstay. Lauren was fantastic at explaining the process and we went to meet with Shirley. I couldn't have wished for a more caring person to look after my Molly. Shirley was so friendly and Molly (who can be a bit nervous of new people) was instantly relaxed with her. Her house and garden were totally secure and it was great to know that my dog was in great hands. when we collected Molly she was very relaxed and happy - something I doubt we'd have seen if she's been in a kennels.
