Furnished with vintage pieces, items from Castle Howard itself and carefully chosen modern furnishings, our cottages are the perfect home from home. Fully equipped with modern conveniences such as a dishwasher, washing machine and much more, all our cottages also have a log burner, beautiful outdoor space with garden furniture, and are pet-friendly. The Holiday Cottages are a short drive from Malton, known as Yorkshire's Food Capital, and 30 minutes from the historic city of York.

Spring brings beautiful rhododendrons and blue bells in the ornamental Ray Wood, Summer sees bursts of colour and fragrance in the 18th century Walled Garden and new life on the lakes. Autumn is ablaze with gold and amber, and winter is crisp and atmospheric.

The Castle Howard Gardens are dog-friendly, but we ask all dogs to be kept on leads to protect our wildlife.
