Begun in about 3000 BC, the Sanctuary became a complex of timber post rings and stone circles: its components are now indicated by concrete slabs. A place of great ritual significance, it was later linked to Avebury by West Kennet Avenue.
Dogs on leads are welcome - contact site for any restrictions. Assistance dogs are welcome everywhere.
