About me
I'm Jemma, I have worked in the animal industry for almost 20 years and have have studied up to degree level in animal related subjects. As well as dogs, I have worked at a wildlife rehabilitation centre for the RSPCA, Cambridge university veterinary school and with a group of monkeys! I am now teaching animal management at a local College. As you can see from my qualifications and experiences I have dedicated most of my working life to animals and can't imagine a life without them.
When your dog is in my care they will be given my full attention and be treated with the respect they deserve.
Clipping, scissoring and styling
Whether you would like a low maintenance pet trim or breed specific style, I will do my best to accommodate your requirements Prices start from £25 but will vary depending on size of dog and condition / behaviour or your dog.
Hand Stripping
Hand stripping is available for breeds that require this to maintain the correct coat texture. Prices from £40 depending on size of dog and amount of coat.
Bathing / Brushing
If you do not require styling or hand stripping your dog is welcome to visit for a bath, de-shed, claw clip and ear clean. Prices from £15, again depending on size and behaviour of your dog.
Matting
I work to the animal welfare act and the 5 animal needs set out by the RSPCA. As your dogs welfare is my primary concern I do not believe it is fair to de-matt a dog. Sometimes it is best to clip the coat short and start again. I am happy to discuss and arrange a regular grooming schedule with you to keep your dog comfortable and prevent matting occurring again.
