Pitton Cross - Dog-Friendly Caravan and Camping Site in Rhossili

The Button family has lived on Gower for over 300 years. We first opened the campsite 1960’s we are a quiet family park. Pitton Cross is only a mile from Rhossili Village and its beach, which is often voted “The Best Beach in the UK”. There is a large car park, a Pub, a couple of Cafes and a National Trust Shop. In St Mary’s Church, there is a memorial to Edgar Evans who was born in the village and went to the South Pole with Scott. The City of Swansea is only 16 miles away where you will find the National Water Front Museum.

The scenic coastline is within walking distance from your pitch. Ramsgrove Cove is good for rock pooling. Mewslade & Fall Bay for body boarding,
building castles, and rock climbing.
Rhossili Beach is good for climbing, surfing, walking,
and seeing the “Helvetia” Ship Wreck.

On Our Campsite



Open All Year, we are a family and dog-friendly campsite.
WiFi - is pay-as-you-go, ask a member of staff for details - Calor Gas & Camping Gaz.

The Bus Stop is at the site entrance, only Monday to Saturday at present.

We are very quiet at Pitton Cross! It's so quiet you can hear the sea a mile away
and hear a wide range of bird calls.
See the Milky Way by Star Gazing which is a must here at Pitton Cross Caravan Park, which is one of the darkest spots here on Gower.



 Shop and Reception
The Shop/Reception, Gower Kite Shop, and Rhossili Gift Shop are all here
at Pitton Cross Caravan Park.
Our staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the
Park and the local area.
Rhossili is located just one and a half miles on from us to
one of the best views on Gower.

What do we sell:
The shop is stocked with everyday essentials like milk, bread. 
OS Maps, locally produced walking maps, and rock climbing -
 "Gower Rock" book is stocked here.
We have local produce from local butchers' meats, Welsh cheeses, and Welsh Cakes baked in Rhossili, depending on the time of year.
If you enjoy fishing there is frozen bait, fishing tackle, and hooks in our shop. To do fishing go off around the coastline or the beaches.
We hold a variety of Welsh gifts, and books on Gower’s history, landscape, with history on local people.
We have a large selection of children’s toys, including board and card games.
The Shop stocks a small selection of beach goodies, Body Boards, and beach shelters.
We have a wide range of kites for all ages, and telescopic poles for windsocks from
a couple of leading brands HQ and Spirit of Air.
