Hael Farm Cottages are located in the Gower Peninsula, the first area to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in 1956. It is also designated a Landscape of Outstanding Historic Interest in Wales, and the Gower Heritage Coast was designated in 1975.

Picture the variety of landscapes from the north coast along the Loughor Estuary where horses standing in the shallows at high tide appear to be walking on water, to the South of the Peninsula characterised by sandy beaches punctuated by tall craggy cliffs rising out of the sea, small coves teeming with sea life, and streams meandering along picturesque valleys before eventually emptying into the sea.

It is not surprising therefore that the Gower Peninsula is a very popular holiday destination and attracts a large number of visitors every year. They come from all over the UK and the world not only to experience the cultural and historical heritage but also for beach and walking holidays or the fabulous water sports.
