Rescue Remedies is based in Surrey and aims to provide a safe haven for homeless dogs who are on deathrow. We use good boarding kennels and have viabriant

Founded by a therapist and run entirely by volunteers. Dog assessors; intake team and homing team; admin support; fundraisers and fosterers. We take in dogs the other Rescue passby on and work with them finding safe homes and offer them a guarantee through their life. We aim to give a truthful description of the dog to the best of our knowledge and assessment. We neuter the dogs in our care prior to adoption (exception puppies or if medically advised against). Our dogs have received at least one vaccination; are microchipped: flea and worm treated. Any health issues are investigated and treated prior to adoption where obvious e.g. most older dogs have dental work offered them. We do not discriminate against a dog on age or health. We help the dogs who need us and only have the dogs on our websites.

We have over 100 dogs on our books and home approx. 450 dogs per annum.

Our running costs are paid for by our volunteers. Contributions we received pay our vet & kennel bills. We are always grateful for any contribution made to our dogs.

We require a complete questionnaire with all enquiries & carry out home checks vet references to ensure the home meets our dog’s needs. Looking to help a homeless dog complete our homing questionnaire via our website www.rescueremediesdogrescue.co.uk. Needing to give up a dog contact via enquiries@rescueremedies.co.uk

We have specialist websites for our Staffies  www.staffierescue.co.uk & terriers www.terrierrescue.co.uk

Donations are always appreciated as they help us to continue our work - there is a PayPal link on our websites. We are not breeders and cant magic the dog of your dreams but explore with you if with an open mind we can find your next companiona varied representative mix of dogs but do have a terrier bias to our +overall numbers.

“My partner applied to adopt a little dog from Rescue Remedies. He has owned & loved pets all his life, his last pet recently died at the age of 21. Unfortunately he made a genuine mistake on the application form. Regarding keeping the dog on a lead. He received a very stern email informing him he would not be considered, and he was not to apply again. He tried to send an email explaining it really was a genuine error, but was told his email would not be accepted. He would have travelled over 200 miles a round trip of over 400 miles to meet this little dog & would have given a healthy contribution to the charity. Due to their draconian attitude, the little dog he was interested in is still looking for a home. I tried to contact RR via the phone & the lady I tried to speak with put the phone down. Appalling approach to genuine caring people who want to give a loving home to one of their dogs. Didn’t even have the decency to contact my partner & discuss the situation with him. I wonder if I will hear from them after this review - I doubt it I don’t think they care. Such a shame - the little dog would have been dearly loved & would have had a lovely life. ”

“Have adopted our last two rescue staffies from staffie rescue. You will never find a better person or more insight than Lynne. Wonderful lady who has brought us so much happiness and always truthful ”
