Valley Farm Equestrian Leisure - Dog Friendly Attraction in Woodbridge, Suffolk
Dog friendly day out, or stay for longer. Dog friendly camping and caravanning or if you prefer home comforts we have a lovely holiday lodge on the farm
Perfect for those who love dogs, horses and other animals..
There are dog walking tracks all around the farm, through our woodland and along the riverbank from where you may see wildlife such as barn owls, little owls, woodpeckers, hares, rabbits, foxes and deer in addition to many smaller creatures. You will also be able to meet our horses, goats, alpacas and other animals. You do not have to have a dog to enjoy these quiet walks, but if you do, we ask that you keep them on a lead. The herons and owls can also be seen from the comfort of our dog friendly Camargue Café where you can enjoy a cream tea or hot meal, either inside or on the sun terrace.
Whether you are looking for a day out or longer holiday, something for the kids or you want to try riding for the first time, or you would like to develop your skills, Valley Farm’s the place to come. We cater for all levels of rider; beginner, intermediate, disabled and experienced, and we cover many equestrian disciplines. Why not try English riding, western, side saddle, vaulting or carriage driving?
Pony Rides or donkey rides for children, riding lessons, hacks or trail rides can be booked separately. No riding experience is necessary, and we have safety hats and boots available to borrow, however you will need to wear long trousers (not shorts) if you wish to ride. Charges apply for all riding activities, so please speak to a member of staff who can advise you on the best options for your family. Pre booking may be necessary at busy times.
There are vending machines for snacks and drinks, and picnic tables available for those wishing to bring their own food. There are toilets, baby changing and hand washing facilities available on site, and ample free car parking.
Wheelchair users and those with buggies may prefer to stay within the the main building complex, as some of the tracks can become muddy after heavy rainfall. Disabled parking is available.
