The Cock Inn polstead is a traditional grade 11 17th century English country pub in the village of polstead on the Suffolk/Essex border know as Dedham vale AONB.

We offer a friendly relaxing welcome and fantastic food and drink in a stunning setting. Alfresco in the summer months in our large beer garden or in front of the roaring log fires in the winter months.

We offer regional cask ales and ales from around the counties, a gin bar with over 30 stocked gins, wines from around the globe and a well-stocked bar.

Our food menus change seasonally and look out for our daily specials and Sunday lunches.

We cater for weddings and you can hire the whole of the pub and restaurant as a venue with our own marquee in the garden overlooking the village green a perfect setting...

We also do Christenings, funerals, birthday parties any large gathering with bespoke Buffett menus.

Dog walkers- we are very dog friendly (in the bar area and garden) well behaved dogs on leads, bar treats and water bowls await your special friends we also cater for cyclists and rambling groups.

The Bar
Our bar provides an extensive choice, including cask ales, international beers and lagers, and a range of fine wines. Soft drinks and children's drinks are no problem. You may prefer tea or coffee, and of course you can have a snack at the bar.
