Pawsome Canines – Dog trainer & behaviour consultant – Stoke‑on‑Trent, Staffordshire

Welcome to Pawsome Canines, based in Werrington, covering Stoke‑on‑Trent and surrounding areas. I’m Katie, a behaviour consultant and dog trainer specialising in rescue dogs and reactive behaviour. Backed by a degree in Zoology and multiple canine behaviour qualifications, I offer science‑based, force‑free training using reward, not fear or pain.

I specialise in working with rescue and reactive dogs using kind, fun and up‑to‑date methods to build confidence and deepen the connection between you and your dog. I understand the frustrations of behavioural challenges—having fostered over 20 rescue dogs and volunteering extensively, including as Dog Welfare Officer for the Senior Staffy Club until May 2025.

Services include one‑to‑one rescue dog support, general behaviour training, and puppy training tailored to individual needs. Rescue dog and general behaviour sessions begin with a consultation (home or online) lasting 60–90 minutes at £90, including a personalised training plan and support via email or WhatsApp for up to three months.

Puppy training sessions last around 45–50 minutes, £45 per session or £120 for a block of three. Puppy socialisation walks (30 minutes) are £25 each or £90 for a block of four. All tailored to basics like loose lead walking, focus, engagement and building confidence in new environments.

Online support is also available via a 30‑minute mini consultation for £30, with transcripts and product suggestions emailed. These are ideal if you prefer remote help or are located beyond the local 15‑mile radius of ST9.

Areas covered include Stoke‑on‑Trent and within 15 miles of ST9 (extra charges apply beyond 10 miles). Online sessions are available further afield. All bookings require upfront payment.

My approach is grounded in science and ethics—I hold numerous qualifications including University of Liverpool Zoology, canine psychology diplomas, Karen Pryor Academy Instructor certification, and I'm a member of the Dog Welfare Alliance and Pet Professional Network, pledging only force‑free methods.
