Castle Ring Dog Walk

This is a 3 Mile, 1 and a half hour walk that may take a little longer according to fitness levels as is Hilly in places.

Waypoint 1: Head out of the Car park taking the left path around the Mound where the Roman Fort used to stand.

Waypoint 2: Take your first available path to the left through the trees and follow it downhill.

Waypoint 3: At the T Junction follow the Wide Gravel Path steeply downhill to the right.

Waypoint 4: At the Intersection at the bottom of the hill bear left further into Cannock Chase, following the track past a small pool and travelling slightly uphill.

Waypoint 5: Nearing the brow of the hill turn right at the next intersection through what can be a somewhat muddy section of track.

Waypoint 6: At the end of this section of track turn right at the next small pool following a gravel path.

Waypoint 7: At the next intersection of track take the right hand Gravel Path.

Waypoint 8: Keep to the right hand track avoiding the turning to the left.

Waypoint 9: At the next intersection of track bear left and you will recognise Waypoint 4. Head uphill and re trace your route back to the Car Park.
