Dowlais Farm Holidays - Dog Friendly Cottages in Clevedon, Somerset

Located just outside the seaside town of Clevedon on the Severn Estuary of North Somerset, Dowlais Farm is a beautiful place for a peaceful retreat.

Our barn is ready for you to come and enjoy a relaxing stay.

Each of the two separate cottages, called Pippin and Russet, after Somerset apple varieties, has two bedrooms. The main bedrooms each have king size beds and the upstairs bedrooms have two singles which can also be laid out as a large double.

There is underfloor heating throughout the downstairs tiled floor and the living area has a log burner, a sofa bed that can sleep an extra two people and a smart television.  

No stag or hen dos or other party groups - sorry.

Pippin
Pippin barn is the slightly smaller of the two but has all the same amenities. It is a cosy space to relax and use as a base to explore Clevedon, the sea wall and the surrounding area.

Russet
Russet barn has a little more space in the living area and is therefore slightly better suited should you wish to stay with five or six people. It is still just as cosy.

The Area
Clevedon is a beautiful seaside town located in the cider loving county of North Somerset.

Hosting spectacular countryside, incredible wildlife, the world's second largest tidal range and the only Grade I Listed Victorian Pier in the country, there are many things to see and do in the local area.​

This is a great area for walking or cycling along the North Somerset Coast. We are directly on the brand new 'Pier to Pier' cycle track which is opening this summer. This will give the opportunity to cycle between the piers in Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare. The Strawberry Line, another lovely cycle route is also nearby.​

We are about 700m from Clevedon Golf Centre where adults and children are always welcome to play, no booking necessary. Clevedon has a lovely little harbour as well as a beautiful sea front with views across to Wales. There is a sea water lake used for swimming all year round (£1 honesty box charge). Other water based activities are available (paddle boarding, sailing etc.) There is also an arcade, as well as a good number of cafes and pubs along the seafront.
