Petruth Paddocks is a place where anyone can rock up and feel right at home. From the couple in their expensive new motor home to a bunch of young lads in a £29.99 tent from Aldi. From Mum, Dad and a couple of kids to a big group of family and friends and everyone in between.

A live-and-let-live place where there are refreshingly few rules, kids can be kids, campfires are encouraged, music and bad singing are not a problem and people feel free to wander round making new friends.

There are so many rules and regulations these days that kids have a really hard time just being kids.

Petruth Paddocks is a PC-free zone – they can run and shout, climb trees and hide in the hedges, take a ride on the back of the quad bike with Jules, get covered in dirt, make new friends and even scrape their knees.

All we ask is that you respect others and use your noddle when it comes to common sense.

Whoever you are, whatever you sleep in you’re welcome to pitch-up at Petruth Paddocks! Part of the magic of the place is that people from all walks of life, all ages and stages, plans or no plans simply turn up and chill-out. What you do, what you got simply doesn’t matter – we’re more interested in “how you are” than “who you are” and if you’re the same we’ll get along fine!

Shepherd's Huts (Min 2 nights)
If you’re looking for a taste of the outdoors without the poles, pegs and mallet set-up, our Shepherd’s Huts are a definite 'must'.

Stylishly hand-built locally in the Mendip hills and totally unique, our huts are kitted out with either two or four double mattresses, full bedding and electric points for the mod-cons – just make yourselves right at home!

Gypsy Bowtops (Min 2 nights)
Always fancied the traveling life? How about snuggling down in your very own gypsy caravan for a few nights? Built locally these three wonderful creations are sited in their own field tucked away from the main campsite so you can have a little slice of Somerset all to your own and experience a little of what Romany life must be like.
