“during our first visit to Rutland last Christmas, we booked Christmas Dinner at this wonderful pub - not realising it is the absolute dog friendly pub. Lots of diners were in a large fab room whilst dog owners were in the delightful old part with a roaring fire in the middle of the pub - so so friendly with a doggie bar in situ. We have booked again this year (2016) and will be taking our old spaniel - who will fall asleep under the table - marvellousxxx wonderful place in a delightful and unspoiled part of our English countryside”
