Oak Cottage was built in 1932 and is situated in the village of Abermule, between Montgomery and Newtown in Mid Wales. This two bedroomed, single storey cottage has been refurbished and the layout altered to maximise room space to make them cosy and yet practical.

From our convenient location, you can easily visit the surrounding market towns of Llanidloes, Welshpool and Montgomery, and the historic towns of Machynlleth and Ludlow, with plenty of attractions, castles, reservoirs and beautiful views on the way!

A scenic drive through the Cambrian Mountains will get you to the stunning Welsh coast in
just over an hour, to enjoy the seaside town of Aberystwyth, and further on Aberdovey, Borth, New Quay, picturesque Aberaeron and many more.

You are just a few minutes walk from the Montgomeryshire canal, which is perfect for walking and cycling. A good stretch of the legs into Newtown 5 miles, or along to The Nags Head at Garthmyl 4 miles, then on into Welshpool for the more energetic!
