Barafundle Bay - Dog Friendly Beach in Stackpole, Pembrokeshire
In many ways, Barafundle Bay is the iconic Pembrokeshire beach, regularly voted among the best beaches in the country.
The price for this fame is a large influx of visitors in the summer, so other times of the year provide a glimpse of this beach in times gone by.
There is plenty of room here, though and facilities to suit any visitor, so a summer visit is also recommended.
As part of the Stackpole Estate and well managed by The National Trust, it's the changing point from the limestone carboniferous cliffs in the South West, to the desert sandstone of the Devonian period in the North East.
