Sanderling House – Dog-Friendly Holiday Cottage in Dale, Pembrokeshire

Welcome to Sanderling House, a spacious and detached dog-friendly holiday home nestled in the heart of Dale, Pembrokeshire. Just a one-minute walk from Dale Beach, our peaceful retreat offers stunning sea views, ample parking for cars and a boat, and beautifully landscaped gardens—perfect for a relaxing coastal getaway.

Dog-Friendly Accommodation

We welcome up to two well-behaved dogs. The first dog stays for free, and each additional pet is just £10 per week. With A dog-friendly beach 2 minute walk from the house, plus cafe, pub/restaurant and bistro which are dog freindly also.Direct access to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path from the house, Sanderling House is the ideal holiday spot for you and your furry companions.

Outdoor Spaces

Our front garden features a lovely seating area, offering the perfect spot to watch the sunset over the village. The garden is lined with blooming hydrangeas, flower beds, and shrubs, as well as a herb garden where guests are welcome to pick fresh herbs for cooking. Elevated from the road, the property provides a wonderful vantage point to take in the charm of Dale’s seaside life.

Comfortable Bedrooms

• Musselwick Bedroom (Downstairs) – Nautically themed double bedroom with a TV (Freeview), DVD & VHS player, iPod dock, and a collection of children’s Disney and adventure videos. Hairdryer included.

• Watwick Bedroom (Downstairs) – Twin bedroom with a music station, TV, DVD collection, and a hairdryer.

• Marloes Bedroom (Upstairs) – Twin bedroom overlooking the back garden, decorated with images of Marloes Beach, where Snow White and the Huntsman was filmed.

• West Dale Bedroom (Upstairs) – The master bedroom featuring a king-size bed, sea views, a 42-inch 3D TV with Freeview, Blu-ray DVD player, and extra amenities such as a vacuum cleaner, additional pillows, and a counterpane.

Bathrooms

• Downstairs Bathroom – Features a power shower, two sinks, and a toilet for added convenience.

• Upstairs Family Bathroom – Equipped with a P-shaped bath, electric shower, sink, and toilet. Essentials such as hand wash, a hand towel, and two toilet rolls are provided.

Fully Equipped Kitchen

Designed for those who love to cook and entertain, the kitchen includes:

• Electric hob & oven

• Dishwasher & American fridge/freezer

• Wine fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, slow cooker, blender, juicer,

• Electric hot plate, vegetable steamer, toastie machine, electric knife

• China & cutlery for 8 people

• Starter essentials: Tea, coffee, sugar, squash, and fresh milk in the fridge
  A breakfast table by the patio doors offers a relaxing spot to enjoy garden views while dining. Outside, a switch conveniently controls the patio lights.

Upstairs Lounge with Stunning Sea Views

To make the most of the spectacular coastal scenery, the lounge is located upstairs and features:

• Large leather sofa, three armchairs, footstool, and coffee table (perfect for puzzles!)

• Electric fireplace (cozy glow without heat option)

• 42-inch 3D TV with Freeview, Wi-Fi, Blu-ray player

• A selection of films, books, board games, and jigsaw puzzles

• Binoculars provided for spotting boats and wildlife
  Guests are welcome to swap fiction books, but we kindly ask that non-fiction books, guides, and maps remain for future visitors.

Beautiful Multi-Level Back Garden

The garden is designed for relaxation and entertainment, featuring:

• Hard-based patio with seating for 8 and a large gas BBQ (cleaning tools provided)

• Out door table tennis

• A covered canopy for shade or light rain

• A seaside-themed gravel terrace with a fire pit (for adult use after 6 PM, at your own risk—perfect for stargazing and marshmallow toasting)

• Clothesline for drying laundry (pegs in utility room)

• Terraced garden with winding pathways leading to a top-tier seating area with sea views

• The top tier of the garden features a large terrace, offering breathtaking views across to the sea

• Woodland backdrop filled with wildflowers – while not part of the property, guests are welcome to explore.
