“Jo is fantastic. She completely understood Dayo's issues, and gave great advice. She is so gentle and calm - Dayo adored her. We have learned a lot and are applying the advice to good effect. I think the improvement in his confidence and calmness (thanks to Jo) had a unexpected benefit. He had his first plane journey - across the pond! - and arrived completely mellow, relaxed and even curious and interested. I honestly don't think he would have done so pre-Jo. I would absolutely recommend her.”

“Jo from Canny Dog was brilliant. My dog is, well was very anxious, yappy and was hard to get in from outside barking etc and couldn't get him back on his lead. After 3 sessions it was me that needed teaching how to deal with it, so a lesson for both of us, needless to say we had it under control from day one. With consistency and lots of love and patience my little Dash is great, he listens, comes in from outside even from a barking rage and is so so easy to get on his lead. I'd recommend Jo in a heartbeat ”

“Jo is an exceptional trainer. Although Bailey (my dog) could do simple things like sit and lie and is a loveable family dog, he didn't seem to interact unless it was on his terms, or have any recall. I spent a lot of money on books by so called dog whisperers that were about as much use as a chocolate tea kettle! After having a serious scare with him one day I called Jo, she was local and her prices are affordable. I was not sure what to expect. Jo's method of working is: she takes simple concepts to train human and dog to communicate and once human has learned these things, puts them into everyday situations that can and do involve the whole family (Jo, I'm on about the 3 D's here). Jo also does pdf work sheets and prompt sheets tailored to your specific needs. Bailey no longer sees us as anchors at the end of the lead and interacts with us on all walks now. Other behaviour issues have also been addressed and even though we are still working on some of these, others have worked within a day or two. Jo will not just sit there and demand you do such and such, she identifies the problem(s), works the problem(s) and comes up with simple, yet effective solutions. Jo is an efficient communicator and goes out of her way to phone and see how things are progressing throughout your time with her. ”
