The Hedgerow at Wainhill – A Romantic Rural Retreat on the Ridgeway

The Hedgerow is a pretty self catered cottage in a beautiful peaceful spot with stunning views and direct access onto The Ridgeway.  It is available for short breaks of 3 nights or longer one or two week stays.

It has stunning views overlooking The Ridgeway National Trail and is the perfect country getaway for couples who want to enjoy a romantic and rural retreat in the heart of The Chilterns, yet are still within an hour of Central London.

Beautifully furnished and exceptionally comfortable The Hedgerow has its own kitchen, shower room with all singing and dancing shower cabin and separate bedroom off the living room with a brand-new Hypnos Kingsize bed. The cottage is ideal to use as a base to explore the Chilterns and all the many wonderful local attractions such as Oxford, Blenheim, Waddesdon Manor and Henley to name but a few.

With a separate driveway and private parking; walking and cycling straight onto The Ridgeway itself, it is the perfect place to come and enjoy an action packed holiday or just stop, relax and take in the beauty of the countryside surrounding The Hedgerow.  With the cottage comes the complimentary use of “Alice” my 1950’s vintage English Eccles caravan.  She provides the perfect space to just sit back and do absolutely nothing!

We welcome dogs and provide a pet pack which includes home made cheddar cheese dog biscuits! There is a secure, well fenced private garden attached to The Hedgerow and dogs also have the use of our fenced garden too.  We would ask that your dog is kept on the lead outside of the gardens as we have livestock in the fields and paddocks.  From the back gates there is miles of wonderful walking directly onto the Ridgeway National Trail and many other Bridleways and Footpaths which all link up together.

The rooms in The Courtyard are large and spacious, each with an en-suite shower room and both afford privacy as are located in our detached timber cottage. They have a seating area, dressing area and a very comfortable Hypnos super kingsize bed.There is a Digital flat screen television with Freeview channels and free Superfast Broadband in both suites. Complimentary hospitality tray and toiletries are available.

There is plenty of free parking in front of The Courtyard on a secure gravelled driveway.

Breakfast is now brought to your room in our “take away” style which gives you longer in bed and no need to jump up and get dressed!
