For more than 900 years Southwell Minster has been opening its doors to welcome visitors, pilgrims and worshippers.

Set in the beautiful Georgian market town, just 7 miles from the A1, Southwell Minster is the cathedral for Nottinghamshire. The Minster itself is adorned with beautiful carvings, windows and our world-famous Chapter House (home to 'The Leaves of Southwell' has reopened after a major conservation programme.

Next door to the Minster you'll find the Archbishop's Palace and gardens which are a beautiful place to sit and relax.

During term-time, Choral Evensong is sung by the Cathedral Choir every day (except Wednesdays) at 5.30pm (3.30pm Sunday) to which you are most welcome.
