As one of the world’s designated Dark Sky Parks, Budle Bay offers the perfect picturesque location to immerse oneself in the natural beauty of Northumberland. Our self-catering dog-friendly cottages are set just footsteps from the sandy beaches of Budle Bay. Here, you can make use of our private stretch of sand and then retire to a cosy Northumbrian cottage to gaze at the plethora of stars above.

Make the most of your private beach in this highly sought-after location, our guests enjoy privacy and tranquility whilst witnessing some of the best sunrises and sunsets England has to offer!

Our private beaches provide the perfect place for children to safely play in the sand dunes or to explore the remains of jetties that have been left from the industrial past. Alternatively, for those who enjoy walking, the circular walk from Budle Bay to Bamburgh is a beautiful trail for catching a glimpse of the sun as it sets over the water. The distance of the walk is just under four miles, so can be attempted by people of all ages.

Lucker Holiday Cottages
We also have a collection of charming self-catering cottages in the village of Lucker, Northumberland. This idyllic village is an ideal destination for holidaying families looking to relax in a peaceful and quiet environment. Lucker boasts eateries, a spa and fitness suite all a stone’s throw away from your front door.

Our cottages are located in the heart of Lucker village, which is just 3-miles from Bamburgh and the scenic Northumberland Coast. The Apple Inn, a countryside pub and The Apple Core, a Mediterranean restaurant, are both situated in Lucker and serve good food, ales and wines. Guests of Stablewood Coastal Cottages are entitled to a 5% discount at both eateries.

There is also a spa, beauty and fitness suite in Lucker, of which guests of Stablewood Coastal Cottages are offered complimentary passes courtesy of Beau Monde.

Lucker’s proximity to major attractions in Northumberland affords guests the flexibility to enjoy a relaxing break in the village as well as easily being able to venture out to Holy Island, the Alnwick Castle and Gardens, or dip your toes in the sea and build sandcastles on the beach. Even your four legged family members are welcome in our cottages; we’re sure they will love it here as much as you.

Please note that there is a charge of £30 per dog per week and £15 for a second dog. Each cottage/ lodge can accommodate up to 2 medium or 1 large dog. Can accept more on request.
