Newton-by-the-Sea - Dog Friendly Beach in Chathill, Northumberland
Squeezed in between the long sandy beaches at Beadnell Bay and Embleton Bay, Low Newton beach is ideal for rock pooling on an ebb tide.
With the characterful Ship Inn and well-kept village of Low Newton-by-the-Sea just behind the beach, there are wonderful walks in both directions along the coast from here.
Bird watchers visit for the nearby Newton Pool Reserve and this is also a popular beach for water sports.
