Happy Pets - Dog Trainer and Behaviourist In Norwich, Norfolk

Our behaviour and training practice is located in Norwich , however we provide friendly and caring services in the client's home all over Norfolk for very reasonable fees.
Dr Attila Szkukalek founder and senior behaviourist and trainer at Happy Pets has been accumulating a wealth of practical and theoretical knowledge in training, showing and breeding dogs and cats for over 40 years!
Since the establishment of Happy Pets behaviour and training practice in 1997 we have had 11 years to establish ourselves as pet behaviour and training industry leaders! Due to our excellent reputation most veterinary surgeons as well as the RSPCA and Dogs Trust in Norfolk refer their clients to our practice.



At Happy Pets we offer a wide range of different courses to match all your needs. Starting with Puppy Socialization and Basic Obedience Courses we show you how you can teach your puppy/dog to behave nicely and listen to what you tell them to do.
After one of these classes you can then for example enroll in our Progress Fun Class, where we show you further exercises to help you to exercise and mentally stimulate your dog or you can come to our Recall Classes where we work on reliable recalls out on the walks.
We further offer a variety of more specialized courses such as Agility (all Levels), Clicker Training, Trick Training, Strictly Dogdancing, Kids & Dogs and coming up are Kennel Club Good Citizens Scheme.



Dogs can display a variety of problem behaviours such as Aggression towards people or other dogs, guarding their food or toys, chasing cars, joggers and bikes, soiling in the house or destroying things as well as anxieties and phobias.
It is important to address the problems as soon as possible in order to avoid the forming of bad habits and to retrain the dog. We also take dogs through Veterinary Referral!
We use the most advanced, scientifically proven kind and effective therapy, training, handling and communication techniques.



In most cases we use a Comprehensive Approach which involves:

Restructuring the relationship
Substituting the undesirable behaviours with desirable ones
Desensitisation techniques
Gradual or swift changes in the husbandry of the animal and discuss the inclusion of possible pharmacological supports to be prescribed by the referring veterinary surgeon
