Two stunning barn conversions in the heart of the Norfolk countryside, offering genuinely dog friendly holidays.

Running Hare Barn and The Old Piggery are situated in a quiet lane on the outskirts of East Ruston village and overlooking the lovely North Norfolk countryside. We are a short drive from several sandy, dog friendly beaches and there is a network of easy, livestock free walks from the door.

Both barns have been converted to include many ‘green’ features – see our ‘Eco Info’ page for more information.

Each has pamment or brick floors throughout the ground floor with a secure outside space at each, making them ideal for dogs who are very welcome at no extra cost.

We have no limit on the number of dogs you can bring and there’s no extra charge.

The barns can be booked separately or together, sleeping up to 16.

Running Hare
Running Hare Barn is an old threshing barn, recently converted to sleep 10 people on three levels.  The thatched barn has retained many of its original features and has reached the semi finals of the regional building excellence award scheme.  It has five bedrooms, including two mezzanine rooms in the roof, three of which are en suite, plus a family bathroom.

Garden/Outside Areas
There is a fully enclosed grassed garden to the front of the barn, leading through a gate to the large paved yard area.  The walled yard is also fully enclosed with raised flower beds, plenty of space and can also be accessed through the French doors in the Atrium.  It has a large table and chairs and a gas barbeque.  The covered area under the eaves of the barn has a warm dog shower and an additional fridge and freezer.

The Old Piggery (sleeps 6)
The Old Piggery is a single storey barn conversion with an open plan living area/kitchen and wood burner.  It has three bedrooms, one en suite, plus a family bathroom. The large paved yard is fully enclosed, providing a secure area for your dogs.  The raised and cobbled flower beds add a bit of extra character.  There is gas barbeque and outdoor furniture for you to relax in and watch the sunset after a busy day’s exploring.  At the front of the Old Piggery there is a small grassed area.
