Bylaugh Country Park is situated in the heart of mid-Norfolk, in idyllic surroundings overlooking the Wensum valley. Our spacious and well-maintained caravan and camp site offers a peaceful and relaxing taste of Norfolk life.
Cylists and walkers can enjoy the many quiet local lanes and footpaths and anglers can take advantage of nearby Swanton Morely Fishery, which offers 5 lakes set in 50 acres of beautiful countryside.
Only 5 miles from the popular market town of Dereham, Bylaugh Country Park also offers easy access to Norwich, the North Norfolk coast and the Norfolk Broads.
Facilities
Bylaugh Country Park is set in idyllic surroundings in the heart of mid Norfolk, with spectacular views over the Wensum Valley. The caravan and camp site offers a peaceful and relaxing taste of Norfolk life.
The spacious and well-maintained site offers level, grassy pitches and lots of space to play. Mature trees around the perimeter of the site provide shaded areas.
Two modern and well-maintained amenity blocks offer ample WCs, showers, basins, laundry and washing up facilities.
A small on-site shop can be found in the reception building.
Helpful, friendly staff, with extensive local knowledge, are ready to help you explore Norfolk to the full.
Local information
Cyclists and walkers can enjoy many local quiet lanes and footpaths leading from the site.
Anglers can enjoy their sport locally at the Swanton Morley Fishery, offering 5 lakes totalling 50 acres of fishing. Day passes are available.
For steam enthusiasts, the Mid Norfolk Railway, North Norfolk Railway and Bure Valley Railway offer a taste of yesteryear.Golfers can enjoy the numerous courses Norfolk has to offer.
The North Norfolk coast, which offers sandy beaches, sailing and fishing, is easily accessible as are the Norfolk Broads.
Norwich, known as the cultural capital of the east, has a vibrant market, boutique shops, shopping malls, theatres and restaurants.
More locally in Dereham, there is a selection of shops, banks and a health centre. Of architectural interest are a number of historic houses, including the National Trust owned Blickling Hall near Aylsham, Holkham Hall and Houghton Hall near the coast.
