First and foremost, take a deep breath.  Pet photography can feel overwhelming for the owner during the session – and that apprehensive energy can impact your pet’s enjoyment of the moment.  While it is true that pet photography comes with an additional set of potential complications and challenges, my years of experience, natural love for animals, and extreme patience should eliminate any worry you might have.  Understand that your pet will take some time to warm up to the experience, that they might act up occasionally, and that we will need to take breaks to play and enjoy being together – and that is absolutely okay.  Pet photography is an adventure – and in my opinion, it is one of the most rewarding adventures there is.

​Are you ready to get a glimpse into the process of capturing your pet through photography?  Let’s go:

​Planning Meeting:  Part informational session, part introduction – the planning meeting helps you get to know me, understand my pet photography philosophy, and for you to tell me about your pet.  Share pictures, tell stories and help cultivate the pathway to capturing their personality through photography.  We will discuss locations, props, and other logistics such as timing and pricing.

​Session Day: This is where all the planning comes to life.  After spending some time with your pet and allowing them to become comfortable with me, our location, and my equipment – we will begin.  The session is designed to be fun, relaxed, and enjoyable for everyone involved. Your photo adventure can either be in a studio, outdoors, or both.  Throughout our time, we will move at a pace that allows your pet to remain relaxed and at ease.

​Image Premiere and Ordering Session:  After your session, I will meticulously explore the hundreds of shots taken throughout the day and create a comprehensive portfolio of shots for your consideration.  Once compiled, we will meet to review the photos and choose your favourites.  From there, we will review the variety of products that can be utilized to best display your favourite shots.

​Delivery:  After a few weeks, you will receive a notification from me that your products are ready for delivery.  Time to wag your tails! Clients can either choose in person or shipped delivery, depending on your preference.
