Ellie's Place Humberston - " Where Dogs Laugh with their Tails "
My second home (named in memory of my own German Sheperd Ellie ) is a real doggy retreat only 3 mins walk from a year all round dog friendly beach and within 3 miles of a purpose doggy swim pool at a local country park. Secure 7ft enlosed back area with patio furniture and a BBQ.
Lovely local walks to dog friendly pubs and great local eating places in nearby Cleethorpes.
it really is All about the dogs and my rule of thumb is - if they are happy being left alone in your house they're ok to be left alone in mine - If they sleep on sofas or your bed - why change their routine - throws provided for these purposes.
Everything provided for your furry friends - bowls stands towels dog tags for their holiday. Humans have use of air fryer, slow cooker, microwave and usual cooking utensils, (small freezer part in fridge available). For humans I have encased matress protectors to guard against and offer protection against bed bugs, Smart TV, DVD and Wi Fi in lounge, smaller TV in bedroom with DVD. Book library in peaceful lobby with rocking chair if you need "time out ".
Bookings run Fri to Fri and some short breaks available out of season. Just enquire I can normally facilitate most requests.
Ellie's Place is my second home and houses personal photos trinkets etc so if you like a sterile minimailstic environment this probably isn`t for you - I kitted it out with dogs in mind and to date have never had a problem with any dog ever getting drunk and damaging the furniture or leaving chewing gum in my carpets or sticky fingermarks on my walls (- hence dogs only no children !!) Therefore - Ellie's Place is not suitable for children. No hot tub or pool but a peaceful retreat for dog lovers - No limit on dogs - the first 3 are free then any thereafter £15 per stay.

“Lovely place for a quick get away. Kitchen well equiped with everything you need. Some good eateries nearby especially Steels if you can eat a whale sized cod or haddock with chips. Great seafood too at very reasonable prices A stones throw from the beach for walks or a swim (But do be mindful of the strong current!) ”

“Ellie’s Place is a great place to stay with your dogs. I’ve been twice, and everything you need for your holiday is provided. Lovely dog walks straight from the chalet, and the nature reserve nearby is also great, where dogs can have a swim. There are some lovely cafe’s nearby, too, which are also dog friendly. Great food and very friendly staff. We explored a bit further afield and had a great Sunday roast (there’s a folder in the chalet with some great recommendations). All in all, a lovely home-from-home place to stay. ”

“Ellies Place, Sals hut & like me, just all about the dogs... Cheap & cheerful & the dogs love it, their good mannered lead holders do too where both are able to sleep 'on the furniture, even the 'humans'. Being only 2mins walk to best open secret dog beach, its best not to book 'out of'season', not school hols unless you go to dogtrotting down dyke or beach to avoid the 'bucket & spaders'. ”
