Here at Hest Bank Kennels we have a real passion for caring for your pet, as if it was our own, ensuring they get frequent personal contact with us to play, have cuddles and love.

Our prime importance is the care and wellbeing of each animal that we look after, in order that you and your pet are comfortable and relaxed as they stay in a safe and secure environment.

Additionally, your pet will enjoy our secure play areas with time to rest with digital radio piped in all kennels, and a chauffeur pickup and delivery service. We provide facilities to local people and across the north west of Lancashire and south lakes of Cumbria.

Should your pet have any medical conditions, we live on site, and have a very experienced 24/7 on-call vet at all times. Our dedicated team will ensure your pet is happy, loved and wanting to return time after time.

Dog Boarding
Animals in our care are housed in purpose-built facilities, all our kennels are fully insulated and heated to enable us to adjust the environment to your pet’s needs. Our dedicated team of staff ensure the highest standard of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.

Our prices include food, bedding, exercise, including lead and off lead play in our concrete or grass play areas, all our staff are trained to actively assist in taking proper care of your pets.

All our team are passionate about pets and are devoted to caring for your dog’s individual requirements, creating a relaxed, friendly and secure environment for them to enjoy during their stay.

Long or short stay: Dogs can be accommodated for a few hours or a few weeks or for longer periods by arrangement.

Collection and delivery service: We offer a chauffeur pickup and delivery service, for all animals for most areas, in our own vehicle. Charges are available on request.

Heating: All dog kennels are heated during inclement weather and fully insulated to keep cool in the summer yet warm in winter.

Feeding: We can cater for all diets, Raw, Complete, Soft, semi moist, and combinations, if you prefer your dog to be fed on its own diet as fed at home, we ask that you supply sufficient for the stay, and advise us on the frequency of feeding.

Bedding: We use 100% Polyester “DRYBED” dog bedding throughout our kennels – unfortunately we have no facilities to maintain customers own bedding, but toys and treats may be brought to help make your pet feel at home.

Exercise: All dogs have access to individual covered runs once we have finished cleaning out in the mornings, and extra time is spent with them in the afternoons while grooming or playing with them in our large concrete or grass runs, additional time with the staff can be arranged for an additional charge subject to staff availability.

Extra walks: We can offer 10 minutes of extra exercise for your dog in our secure field, or a game in the grass runs for an additional fee of £3.00 per session.

Grooming and Pampering: Your dog can be groomed or bathed by our experienced groomers before it heads home. All breeds welcomed, and appointments must be made in advance.

Illness: We ask that you mention any recent injury, illness or any disability when you leave your pet with us. We will ensure that all treatments or medicines are administered as per your veterinary surgeon’s instructions.

Vaccination: A CURRENT VETERINARY CERTIFICATE OF INOCULATION MUST BE PRODUCED FOR INSPECTION ON YOUR PETS ARRIVAL, all dogs must be inoculated against – Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Parvovirus and Kennel Cough within the last 12 months.

Insurance: Dogs staying with us are covered by our fully comprehensive insurance.

Safety and Security: For the safety and security of your dog, we ask that all dogs are brought into reception on leads. We will be happy to provide a dog lead should you have forgotten to bring yours.
