Dog Friendly Caravan and Touring Site in Faversham, Kent
Monks Cottage caravan site consists of 15 level grass pitches in the grounds of owners period thatch cottage, set in a picturesque valley. Ideal for walks, dogs welcome on lead. There are no onsite facilties for children.
Onsite Facilities
Pitches for 15 Tourers or Motor homes inclusive of 10amp, Hook up + TV point, 2 toilets, fresh water point (showers + WC), chemical disposal point, Pets allowed but must be on lead at all time and owners must clear up fouling both on site and off. No onsite facilities for children. No ball games or cycling allowed on site to prevent damage to vans and to the tranquillity of the valley.
Please note all refuse to be taken away as no facilities are on site.
Toilet Facilities
A car can park next to toilet block for the less abled, which consists of 2 shower cubicles with toilets. One step up to toilet block*, one shower has a disabled seat and grab rails (access to showers is not wheelchair friendly).
There is one seperate Disabled Toilet which is wheel chair friendly.
Offsite Facilities
Supermarket, Pub, Restaurant, Takeaway, Indoor / Outdoor Swimming pools 4 Miles. Riding stables 1 Mile. Visit the historic market town of Faversham (4miles) famous for its yearly hop festival. Visit the cathedral cities of Canterbury and Rochester: many castles, Cinque ports, historic houses, towns and villages. Explore the historical dockyard at Chatham, were Nelson`s H.M.S. Victory was launched Visit many beaches along our coastline, including Whitstable: it self being famous for its oysters.
Sail away for a day trip to Calais from Dover (25 miles). Or go Via Le Shuttle.
London is approx 50 miles.
Location
Leave the M2 at junction 6 onto the A251 signposted Ashford. In 3 miles turn right at bus stop sign posted Bells Forstal / Throwley. Site in 600 mtrs on left (100 mtrs past church at bottom of hill).
