The Braemar - Dog Friendly Bed & Breakfast in Shanklin, Isle of Wight

Tucked away in Shanklin's Old Village, probably the Island's most attractive corner, is where you will find The Braemar.

We are a family run Bed and Breakfast and ideally located to offer you all the pleasures of the Isle of Wight whether walking, cycling, using the Island's fantastic transport system or sightseeing in your own car.

Whilst staying with us, you will experience a top resort with golden sandy beaches offering safe bathing;  a beautiful chine which leads down to the beach, specialty shops; a theatre and breathtaking countryside which you will want to explore.

Rooms
All our 11 bedrooms offer en-suite facilities and are tastefully decorated and presented to provide a cosy and relaxing retreat after a busy day.  Choose from a single room, double room, twin, triple or a family room (bunk beds for the children).  We can accommodate a ground floor room if requested at time of booking.

Our rooms have colour TV's, free WIFI, hair dryers and a well-stocked hospitality tray. Ironing facilities are available on request.

Breakfast
You can choose from our menu of Breakfast favourites, including the traditional full English. We also offer lighter alternatives such as cereals, toast and preserves.  We do ask that Breakfast is ordered before you retire for bed as this ensures it is ready for you when you join us in the Breakfast room.

We can recommend some local eateries, bars and restaurants for your lunchtime and evening meals.

Specialist diets can be catered for, but we would request that any special dietary needs are brought to our attention, prior to your stay.

Our guests are treated to personal attention to make breakfast time a pleasure.

Pets
Well behaved small to medium dogs are welcomed in our pet friendly rooms

We charge £10.00 per dog per visit.  Extra charges may be incurred if any additional cleaning is needed on checkout.

Not all of our pet friendly rooms can accommodate more than one dog so please call prior to booking to have a chat about which room best fits your need.

Please make sure your dog is in good health and has been preventativly treated for fleas etc.  We do request that your dog is kept on a lead in the building or on the deck area.  We can provide doggy towels for your stay and will give you details of our favourite doggy beaches in the area, with Shanklin beach being only a short stroll.  In either direction from The Braemar you will find lovely dog friendly parks.

We have recently achieved the Visit England standard "We're Good to Go". This Kite Mark will give you the confidence that we have compiled with all the guidelines set out by the Government and Industry Bodies, including the WHO and Public Health England.
