My name is Karen and I live on the beautiful Isle of Wight.  I have been so blessed to have always had wonderful animals in my life and since the passing of Gracie, my little border terrier it is the first time in so long that I have been without a furry friend. This led me to the realisation that I wanted to include in my working life animals, so what a great way to do this by offering a service to take care of pets in their own home.

Pet and House Sitting
House sitting and pet sitting service. I can travel to the mainland and abroad to pet/house sit as well as on the Isle of Wight. I have packages for different situations such as ad-hoc day/ overnight stay, catering for cover over a long weekend, business travel, holiday travel, bank holidays and hospital stay situations where you may need pets or and a house taking care of for your peace of mind.  I can take care of small to medium size dogs, cats and other pets such as budgies, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens.  Keeping to pets routine and household chores.

24-hour Emergency Pet Sitting Cover
This is for any situation such as a family crisis, a hospital admission etc where you need cover for pets in the first 24 hrs until you are able to organise continued pet care. I can stay overnight with my own sleeping bag & supplies as necessary. If I am required for longer then my package rates will apply.

About Me
My experience through the years has been with all types of dogs, cats, gerbils, pygmy hedgehog, chickens, ducks, Ferrets and even a Harris Hawk called Myo.  I have over 30 yrs of my own experiences with pets and a lot of my friend's animals, as well as taking care of their homes at the same time. I have never had to board my pets I was always fortunate to have friends pet sit or I paid for a pet sitter so my dogs could stay in their own environment and keep to their routine.

I am well-travelled and have lived and worked in South Africa, which meant I was able to experience the wonderful wildlife and culture of a different country with my 3 amigo’s in tow Ross, Harley and Gracie the most adorable border terriers.  My dogs lived to great ages and I dealt with the issues of older dogs as they occurred.

Years of being a Registered General Nurse (majored in medicine, paediatrics and cardiology) with this experience and my own dogs’ ailments I gained confidence with all types of medication and treatments for my pets. I have dealt with injuries, the sudden loss of a pet and have a huge understanding of what it is like to deal with these situations. I have an interest in natural and holistic remedies as I am a qualified massage and aromatherapist and often treated my little Gracie with remedies to ease her aches and pains.
