The cottage is situated on a peaceful and tranquil family croft, surrounded by moorland, sheep, and water. The little bungalow enjoys unhindered views of Locheport, the hills of Bureaval, Eaval and The Lees, not to mention spectacular sunsets and clear night skies. The bungalow was built in 1995 replacing the old family home. It offers all modern comforts in a traditional island setting, situated between Loch Euphort (sea water) and Loch an Ghoil (fresh water).

Entrance & Mud Room
The front door opens directly into the Mud Room – the ideal place to dry off wet dogs, wet coats, and boots before heading into the comfort of the rest of the cottage. It is also well organised for doing the laundry.

Living room
The living room has a wood burning stove (logs etc are provided), FreeSat TV and a DVD player. Two small sofas provide relaxed seating with the table, by the window, being an ideal place to enjoy a meal, read, write or spread-out maps and leaflets whilst looking out over the fabulous views to the south; sunrises to delight the early risers and stunning sunsets for peaceful evenings. Sit for a while and you're almost certain to see deer, geese, or even an otter, and of course, the sheep on the crofts around.

Should there be a little rain, there are books and board games. The cottage has an internet connection and there is plenty of information on local attractions, local food and shops, places to eat, culture and heritage and island events. Looking to plan a trip or see where something is? Then we have maps that cover the Uists......

Bedrooms
The cottage can accommodate 4 people in 2 bedrooms.
The main bedroom has a standard double bed with views over Loch Euphort and The Lees. All bed linen and towels are provided, with spare pillows and blankets available. There is a built-in wardrobe with hanging and drawer space and an integrated dressing table.

Outside
The car park and garden are fully fenced off to the surrounding croft fields. Dogs should never be left unattended in the garden; a small or determined dog could escape! There are plenty of walks and beaches nearby that you can explore with your dog, and we encourage guests to share their best dog walks.
The shed provides space for storing fishing rods and bicycles and there is an outdoor drying line. Soak up the peace and tranquillity of Uist from a seat at the garden bench with just the birds, the sheep and gently lapping water as your soundscape.
