Saraig - Pet Friendly Cottage in Ratagan, Highland

Saraig is a charming, 6-berth cottage nestled on the banks of Loch Duich.  It's mountain and loch views are outstandingly beautiful, and the array of wildlife seen from the cottage is extensive - pine martens, badgers, otters, seals, occasional porpoises (it is a sea loch), herons and countless types of other birds. It is very peaceful and tranquil.



There are many walks in the area to suit all abilities and tastes - mountain, glen, river, waterfall, coastal, forest etc. Many of these are accessed directly from the house plus there are a lot within easy driving distance.



There are many boat trips in the area, pony trekking, Eilean Donan Castle, the Iron Age brochs of Glenelg and several gardens to visit. The Glenelg Inn 15 minutes away by car, and the Old Inn at Carbost on Skye (a bit further at an hour and fifteen minutes but worth the drive and is near the Talisker distillery and Fairy Pools) both allow dogs and do fabulous food. There are other good places to eat but I mentioned these two because their food is so good and they welcome dogs.
