Eddrachilles Hotel on the coast of North West Sutherland is ideal for restorative staycations in stunning landscapes, a comfortable base for adventures across Scotland’s glorious Far North Highlands, or exclusive-use celebrations.  

You will find our owner operated seasonal hotel about 40 miles north of Ullapool on the A894 (the North Coast 500). A listed historic building dating back to the Regency period, the old parish manse of Eddrachilles is nestled above the shore between the tiny villages of Kylesku and Scourie.

Sea views reach out over the island-studded bay and beyond to the rugged Assynt coastline. The three acres of private grounds lead directly to the shore and have a wide variety of birds, wild flowers and informal garden plantings.

Eddrachilles Hotel offers a comfortable retreat, somewhere to relax, unwind & recharge. We pride ourselves on traditional, unpretentious, Highland hospitality with thoughtful extras free of charge.

Six of our ten guest bedrooms have stunning sea views while four bedrooms look onto a pretty courtyard garden. There is also ample seating in the lounges with sea views.

All six bedrooms on the first floor have double Kingsize beds. The remaining four rooms on the ground floor can be set as double (SuperKing) or twin rooms. These rooms have step-free access. Our rooms are suitable for two people sharing,  We are unable to offer additional beds in any room and we do not accept bookings with guests under 12 years of age.

Eat
Our restaurant may have a new name for 2025 but award-winning Head Chef Trevor Williams is still in charge, returning for his sixth season.  His food is a delicious combination of Scottish ingredients, classic culinary skills and contemporary flare.

The Glebe Kitchen at Eddrachilles is a refined, relaxed dining restaurant serving a Table d’Hote menu which changes each day (a choice of 3 or 4 starters, 4 mains, and 4 desserts or our Far North cheeseplate). There is always a vegetarian option and our chefs will adapt our cooked-from-fresh-ingredients dishes for allergies etc if notified in advance.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the views of the sea and woodland gardens over a pre-dinner drink in the sun lounge or lounge bar and can opt to return to the lounges for dessert, tea or coffee, or a digestif.

We welcome external guests as well as those staying in the hotel to join us for dinner.  We also have dog friendly dining area for well behaved pets, please mention this when making a reservation.
