A beautiful sandy beach, and yes it really is called Sand
Fantastic for dogs to run free and watch the seals swimming by
Monty Hall stayed in his bothy on this beach, his bothy is still there
Our German Shepherd Blue certainly recommends it to all his doggy pals

“We holiday every year on the West coast of Scotland and this has got to be the best beach we have come across. It is set back from the road, there is a small car park (free) It is so big and open, our German Shepherd loved playing on the beach with his favourite tennis ball, if you are a bit unsure of your dog playing with other dogs, this beach is so big and you can see all the way back to the car park so you can see if anybody else is around and clip them back on lead if you want to, all the time we have been going there has never been more than two couples at any one time. The views are spectacular, last time we were there we spotted a seal just off the beach and after you have worn your dog out you can go and look in Montys Bothy, you don't have to drive over the Baelach an ba if you don't want to but it's great fun. Applecross is a lovely place too, they have a community petrol station that's open 24hrs a day, card payments only.”
