Movement and texture
Whether it is the gleaming  sun  shining on a horse's back in the summer sun, a long coat on a bearded Collie as it bounds along, characterful lines on a face or the curves of dancers inter-twined with their smooth skin lit by spotlights, it is a challenge to capture, but so rewarding.



Background
I have always drawn or painted wildlife and animals as they are a particular passion of mine.  I just think that it  is amazing that we are privileged to share our world with them. There is so much variety of colour and texture, and the best bit is that they were all created with little characters of their own.....the challenge is to capture their characters on canvas!

I grew up in Derbyshire and so the countryside has always been a big part of my life.  I remember as a girl hiding in a game of 'hide-and-seek', in the field at the bottom of the garden and a little stoat came out of the wall and ran around me and then back....lovely.



I now not only paint animals but have discovered that no matter how young or old a person is, they are really interesting to paint too.  The eyes especially bring a person to life, or sadly make them look lifeless.

Commission Process
For a small deposit I will then start work on either your photos or I will come out and take some photos with you if you live within 20 miles of me and none of your own are suitable.  It takes approximately 2 seeks to complete, but this can be a little longer in busy periods such as Christmas.

I will then book an appointment with you for you to view the painting. Upon you being happy with the finished painting, the balance is payable, and you take home your finished artwork.
