We know that a dog is part of the family and taking your dog on holiday can be a wonderful thing. We don't simply just let your four legged friend come along on your luxury break, we give them their very own doggie holiday with comfort, dog treats and touch of pooch pampering.

Beautifully appointed and finished in the rough-luxe style our aim is to provide everything necessary to relax, restore and reconnect; from a soak under the stars in our outdoor Whirlpool baths to a blissful sleep in sumptuous linens; from all-you-can-watch Netflix in pyjamas, to boundless peace and quiet.

It’s all about making time; for nature, for great food, for reflection.

Bathing options are plentiful with a private outdoor Whirlpool bath in your own garden space, rolltop bath and huge walk-in rainforest shower.

All of our retreats; Bethnal, Bec and The Foaling Box are dog friendly. Each has a fully stocked honesty pantry, freezer and drinks cabinet. Store-cupboard staples are included in the price, and you simply settle-up at the end of your stay for whatever else you have enjoyed.

In all 3 retreats you will also find Netflix, terrestrial tv, and wi-fi are all set up, plus there’s music on vinyl played through portable bluetooth audio.

The Foaling Box: the biggest of our retreats features a roll-down cinema screen at the end of the SUPER kingsize bed, rainforest shower, rolltop bath under the bathroom skylight, private fenced garden, extra large outdoor Whirlpool bath, double outdoor sofa, outdoor dining table/chairs, access to paddock & endless countryside walks.

Reasons to go out
 Cottered is one of many charming villages and towns in the rolling Hertfordshire countryside, with a great selection of local food providers, pubs and restaurants all within a short distance. The surrounding Lee Valley area is home to more than forty nature reserves, as well as historic houses and landscape gardens. Opportunities abound for hiking, cycling, horse riding, shooting and fishing.
