Old Kennels Farm Holiday Cottages - Dog Friendly Cottages in Ledbury, Herefordshire

The Old Kennels Farm is a small family run farm of 24 acres, we have ten acres of traditional Cider apple orchards and every Autumn we harvest the fruit and make our own Cider. We have six holiday cottages here at the farm, over the years these have been converted from the existing farm buildings. Each cottage is unique to the building it was before and they are all named after varieties of cider apples.

Our farm, with its self catering cottages, is situated on the edge of Ledbury in picturesque Herefordshire. There are many places of historical interest, a variety of public houses and restaurants, a small leisure centre, a swimming pool and a gym. We are very lucky in Ledbury to have a lovely assortment of small individual shops and two larger supermarkets – one only ½ mile away. Everything here is within easy walking distance. Our Railway Station is only a 5 minute walk away, with trains to Hereford, Worcester and London Paddington.

Sweet Coppin (sleeps 6)
Sweet Coppin is a large three bedroom, two bathroom cottage which is great for families or groups of friends. Parking space for 2 cars just outside the front door, enter the cottage by a porch, through to a well equipped kitchen, dining area with seating for 6 and lounge with wall mounted smart tv.

Downstairs there is a large shower room and two bedrooms with two single beds in each. Upstairs is a smaller bathroom with a bath and the third bedroom with a double bed. This cottage also has a patio to the rear with bench seating. Overlooking fields this patio is perfect for sunny summer evenings with a lovely view of the sunset.

Tom Putt (sleeps 4)
Tom Putt cottage is a ground floor, open plan cottage for 4 people. With it’s large kitchen dining and living area there’s plenty of space to relax and feel like you’re home from home. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with two full size single beds, bathroom with shower over bath.

With a patio at the rear of the cottage overlooking fields you get a perfect view of the summer evening sunsets. Warm and cosy with central heating, this cottage is great for autumn and winter breaks with a tiled porch to hang your coats and parking very close to the front door.

Foxwhelp (sleeps 2) NEW for 2023
A beautiful new build with some characteristics of our other cottages such as exposed brickwork and a cosy cottage feel. Enter the cottage through a bright and roomy porch to a fully fitted kitchen with oven, dishwasher, and a fridge with freezer compartment. Large open plan living space with a 50″ smart TV.

The bedroom has a king size oak bed and wall mounted TV. From the bedroom there is an en-suite bathroom with wide sliding door shower. Off the bedroom is also access to a rear patio which overlooks fields and makes the most of the evening sun.

Yarlington Mill (sleeps 3)
Yarlington Mill is one of our original cottages converted from the old kennel buildings. Parking is available very close, there is a pretty walled yard and front porch. Downstairs Yarlington Mill has an open plan living area with fully equipped kitchen and dining area.

When on holiday you may like to eat out and sample what our local restaurants have to offer, but rest assured if you fancy an evening in then the kitchen has all the appliances you should need to cook up a tasty meal. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, the first has a double bed and the second has a single. There is one bathroom situated upstairs with a shower.

Dabinett (sleeps 2)
Dabinett is a beautifully finished spacious two person cottage. This cottage is one of our farm building conversions and has been recently renovated keeping some of the character through original brick walls.

Large bathroom with wide bow front shower, open plan living/dining area and a porch and walled yard to enjoy the Herefordshire views on warm summer evenings!

Brown Snout (sleeps 2)
Brown Snout is one of our original cottages. Converted from brick built farm buildings utilised in the past by the kennels this is a perfect cosy cottage for two.  Recently renovated to compliment the original building, this cottage has high ceilings to give a light and airy feel.

All on the ground floor with a small step to enter the porch Brown Snout is great for our guests with reduced mobility and also easy to bring your dog too. There is an enclosed walled yard and a porch to keep your outerwear and boots after you’ve taken a stroll around the apple orchards.
