Your hosts are Mary & Jo a mother and daughter team, ably assisted by their faithful hounds Issie, Annie & Molly! Mary is retired having sold her organic farm in West Wales and knowing that she did not want to retire completely was looking for something different to occupy her time. Fortuitously Jo wanted a change of pace from the burden of daily life as a solicitor and wanted a more gentle countryside based occupation.

Mary & Jo fell in love with the area a few years ago and were lucky to find and buy Forest Mill Cottage and more recently Ty Bychan. They have lovingly renovated and updated both cottages to make them feel like a real home from home for your comfort and enjoyment.

Forest Mill Cottage is a delightfully situated detached former mill resting on the banks of the upper reaches of the Monnow River at the foot of the Black Mountains, just 7 miles from Hay on Wye.

Two quite different cottages in two very different locations but only 7 miles from each other!

Forest Mill Cottage is the perfect choice for guests who desire peace, quiet and tranquility. Ty Bychan is great for those who enjoy the liveliness of a country town.

Both cottages are well placed for those who are looking for a fun filled adventourous break in the Brecon Beacons National Park or in the Wye Valley.
