The Trusty Servant Inn is a dog friendly pub with accommodation and set in the centre of the quintessential country village overlooking the green, with its own stocks and memorial. This Country Pub with great freshly prepare, home cooked food, local real ales and very large garden, welcomes walkers, cyclists, children, dogs and coach parties. The team will always give you a warm welcome and advice on what to do and see locally.



The Pub
The interior is everything you would expect from a country pub. With many local pictures adorning the walls, and hops across the beams it has a cosy welcoming feel. The staff are caring and attentive and will look after you as soon as you step through the door. Drinkers and diners alike can relax in the knowledge that they will experience a delightful lunch or evening in this real country pub.

The menu is freshly prepared, locally sourced food, with sharing starters, small and large portions of light snacks and main menu dishes. Sumptuous puddings and local New Forest Ice Creams finish off the tasty meals if you have enough room for desserts! The real ales are local and the fine wines compliment the menu dishes.



With three roaring log fires in the winter, it makes the pub a great destination for an autumnal or winter evening. The huge back garden with its own outside barn (suitable for gatherings, parties, music events and even weddings) is again an ideal place to head for on those sunny spring and summer days and nights.

During the year there are many music evenings and annual events including the Beer Festival in August which coincides with the classic traditional country Village Fete.

The Trusty Servantdates back to the 1800’s and has in the pub a picture of it dated 1903 – which is the earliest picture locally found of The Trusty Servant as a pub. The pub has links with Winchester College (it is believed they may have owned the land at some point) as The Trusty Servant is from their college.

All of the rooms have been refurbished to a high standard, each one ensuite and all with walk in Monsoon Showers.

Either overlooking the quaint village green where ponies, donkeys and cattle roam freely past, and graze in the sun or outstanding views over the back garden and paddocks and forest beyond.
