Debbie, Duane and Jenny and their team offer you a warm welcome to The New Forest Inn, an unspoilt 18th century country dog friendly pub in a scenic location full of charm with a really friendly atmosphere. We offer a superb value for money homemade traditional menu with locally sourced food and a large selection of fresh fish dishes and amazing specials board. Sunday lunch is a must – excellent traditional roast meats served with fluffy roast potatoes and probably the best gravy in the forest!! We have become renowned for our scrumptious home baked traditional desserts, made from grandma’s recipes all served all day every day. We are also a very dog friendly pub, with dogs welcome in the whole pub, restaurant and garden.

We want you to bring your furry companions and embark on scenic adventures together in the heart of the New Forest. Our charming inn welcomes dogs with open arms, promising tail-wagging trails and cozy corners for them to relax.

In the photographs you will see our newly landscaped garden, the perfect area for those sun spots and relaxing summer afternoons with a ploughman’s or two! Don’t forget a treat for the dogs too! We also have our new orangery area, where we want our guests to feel like you are stepping in to luxury, where the beauty of nature meets refined elegance. We want our guests to be surrounded by the fragrance of blooming flowers and the warmth of the sun filtering through the glass roof and towering trees above. It’s the perfect spot to unwind and savour life’s simple pleasures!

Our Rooms
The New Forest Inn is a charming dog friendly traditional country pub with 4 letting rooms. Along with this comes creaking floors and sloping ceilings and natures noises from the sleepy forest behind. All our rooms are a little bit quirky in their own way – but that is a part of the charm of staying in a country pub. Our rooms are all on the first floor and have 24 hour separate access, although most of our guests enjoy a substantial, delicious meal, a nice glass of wine or ale or two and a relaxing evening in the pub and amble up to bed in their after an enjoyable evening. Dogs are welcome in all of our rooms.

We do offer a 10% discount for 3 nights or more. Please phone for details and availability

We do not offer room service but we do have an amazing restaurant serving good home cooked food all day every day. Monday – Saturday 12noon – 9.30pm and Sunday 12 noon to 9pm. We serve our main menu all day and evening and have our specials board changes daily.

We have (limited) car parking facilities, but plenty of roadside parking nearby. With direct forest access there are many enjoyable walks straight out from our front door –again, please ask any of our staff for details. Lyndhurst is only a 15 minute walk away with antique shops, tea rooms and many independent individual interesting shops. We have many leaflets for local amenities and facilities (situated in the bar).
