Lots of great dog walks can be accessed from Meon Shore. Easiest way to find them all would be on an OS map.

Walking along beach is great but do check tide times. You cant get along the base of the cliffs at high tide to reach the cliff paths.

Parking is free and there are public toilets available.

Once the dogs are tired there is a visitor centre at Titchfield Haven Nature Reserve.

Reviews

“Eugene's review is inaccurate, The beach section in front of the chalets are private but public right of way given. Owners of the chalets expect privacy, no dogs out of control (Just put them on lead), clean up dog poo. Quite simple for most. ”

“I find the comments from Eugene a bit strange. Whether it's private or not in front of their properties all the way down to the shore, I don't know. However, I've never had anyone say I couldn't cross. Obviously it's good to be respectful and not walk/play on the area immediately in front of the properties (say 5 or 10 metres in front), but I've never seen anyone try and prevent someone from crossing in front of them entirely - I think any property owner that tried that would be politely told where to go! Lol. Likewise, I can't ever recall seeing any/many naturists. That doesn't mean that there aren't any, but I'd like to think that any naturists wanting to use that beach would do so when the kids were at school and wouldn't go walking about "tackle out" on a Saturday or Sunday when there's families around. Common sense, really.”

“Be aware! Owners of the huts there will readily tell you that the beach in front of their properties is private right down to the shore line and will not give permission for you to cross. Also, be aware that this can be a popular area for those who enjoy naturism - if this is likely to embarrass or offend you, then probably best to avoid during the warmer months.”

“our dog loves this beach when tide goes out as there is a vast sandy area for him to run around on. He also loves the ice cream van that is usually there !”
