Porth Oer - Dog Friendly Beach in Pwllheli, Gwynedd
Located on the North coast of the Llyn peninsula, Porthor (Oer) Beach is popular with surfers and body boarders, due to the deep swells that arrive here.
Nearby Mynydd Carreg makes a fine lookout point for nature lovers and the setting here is very natural.
The beach is also known as Whistling Sands.
With a seasonal cafe and picnic site, plus nearby National Trust parking, this is a great place to get away from it all.
Highly recommended.
