Railway Crossing Cottage - Dog Friendly Cottage in Anstruther Easter, Fife
Railway Crossing Cottage is a charming detached stone cottage, situated in a peaceful rural location in The East Neuk of Fife, close to the villages of Crail and Anstruther. The cottage was originally a crossing keeper’s cottage on the now disused Anstruther to St. Andrews Railway. It has been beautifully and sensitively restored and extended by us, providing a cosy and warm holiday retreat for you, your family and friends. A perfect place to relax and unwind.
There are 2 bedrooms at the property, a double room and a twin/double room, and a lovely characterful open plan sitting room and kitchen/dining area. The sitting area has a cosy log burner, wooden flooring and comfy leather sofas. The accommodation is very accessible, as it is all at ground floor level, with easy access to the garden via double patio doors.
There is a private hot tub on the decking area, with wonderful views to the surrounding countryside. The garden is mainly laid to lawn and is secure and fully fenced. There is a second sun terrace for relaxed dining, with a wooden table and chairs, sun loungers, sun parasol and barbeque. We have ample parking for 2 cars at the front of the cottage. The property is pet friendly and has the added benefit of free wi-fi.
Railway Crossing Cottage is a perfect location for exploring the quaint fishing villages of The East Neuk, the historic town of St. Andrews and the scenic coastline of Fife. The nearby villages of Crail and Anstruther are wonderful for exploring, with their picturesque fishing harbours, great shopping, pubs/restaurants and numerous tourist attractions. Boat trips from Anstruther to The Isle of May are most popular.
We look forward to welcoming you to our lovely cottage.
