Madeira has 6 cottages which can be rented individually or as a whole. We welcome guests who want to use Madeira as a base to explore all The East Neuk has to offer, or simply to relax in the calm, tranquil atmosphere within the grounds of Madeira.

Our well-equipped, comfortable, and stylish cottages are perfect for a short stay or an annual holiday all year round.

Gardeners Cottage (Sleeps 6 - 9)
The Gardeners cottage sleeps 6-9 people and is surrounded by garden.  As the name suggests it was originally the cottage for the gardener who managed the kitchen garden of what was The Grangemuir Estate.  It sits to the north side of the beautiful, red brick Victorian wall that forms the 2 acre walled garden of Madeira.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms which allow flexibility for families and groups. There are two super king sized double/twin rooms, one of which is en-suite, and a room with a triple bed i.e. a double with a single bunk above.   The sofa in the sitting room is a comfortable king-sized sofa bed.  There are bed spaces for 7 individuals or 9 if beds are shared. In addition to the en-suite, there is a refurbished family bathroom with shower.

The kitchen area is large and very well equipped, and the living area has a large table and chairs, comfortable sofas and a new wood burning stove. There is also a sunroom with seating to watch the sun go down or look at the wildlife in the garden and around the neighboring stream.

The secluded patio area at the back of the cottage with a table and chairs makes a perfect BBQ or pizza making area. There is also a wood fired hot tub for exclusive use of guests in the Gardeners Cottage which sits 6 comfortably.  The garden has rope swings suitable for all ages, and there is a path leading from the cottage to our ‘fairy post’ box and further areas for kids to play. The lawn out front can be used for games.

Terraced Cottages (sleep 2- 4 people)
There are five 1 bedroom cottages that sleep up to 4 people that form a pretty terrace.The cottages have either an en-suite shower room or bath/shower, a small but well equipped kitchen area and seating for 4 people.

The bedroom can be made into a super-king sized double or twin and there is a double sofa bed in all of the living rooms.

The cottages share a covered patio area. and there is a pretty garden in front. Each cottage has a table and chairs and there is a BBQ available should you want to dine al fresco.

The cottages can be booked individually or together for larger groups.

The cottages are great for couples, small families, or groups of friends.  They are delightful in summer and cosy in the winter. Many people book in the winter months and use the cottages as a base to explore all The East Neuk has to offer.

There is a large parking area to the side of the cottages and a laundry in the back building which has a washing machine, a drying machine and plenty of space to dry wet clothing after a long day playing golf or walking. Golf clubs or larger equipment can be stored safely on site. Just ask Tara and she will organise this.
