Dogs are allowed on large sections of Jaywick Sands beach without a lead all year round.
Much of the beaches in Clacton and Holland are restricted but everything west of the Martello Tower outpipe (in Jaywick Sands) is unrestricted.
Tendring District Council which indicates which areas of Clacton on Sea, Holland on Sea and Jaywick Sands have dog bans in place from May to September. See Zone 10 on the website for the section restricted from west Clacton and in to Jaywick Sands ....... the rest is four-legs-friendly.
