Nutley Edge is a beautiful rural property overlooking the stunning landscape of the Ashdown Forest, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We offer some of the most picturesque holiday cottages in East Sussex.

Originally a working farm, the buildings were converted into self-catering holiday cottages in 2011 and opened to the public soon after. Nutley Edge is the perfect destination for couples, families or groups looking to ‘get away from it all’ and enjoy the peace and quiet of the East Sussex countryside.

You can choose from a range of quality accommodation, including twelve individual self-catering cottages, ideal for families and groups of friends, as well as a large four-bedroom Old Farmhouse and events venue. Want to bring your pets? We have dog-friendly holiday cottages. Nutley Edge is also available as a venue for group bookings and events, including wedding receptions. We can recommend some excellent local caterers.

Set on eleven acres of rolling farmland our guests can roam through designated wildlife habitats, including two wildlife ponds, spruce woodland and ancient gill woodland with its own stream and new this year our designated dog paddock.

In our second paddock you will find popcorn and George our resident goats.

Nutley Edge is a stone’s throw from the Ashdown Forest in East Sussex, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can really lose yourself in the natural world. Originally a deer hunting forest in Norman times, the Ashdown Forest is now one of the largest free public access spaces in south east England.

Exclusive Glamping Area
When booking ‘The Willows’  you get our two 5 metre bell tents sleeping 4 in each, both tents are  furnished to provide you with a cosy, slightly luxurious glamping experience. Situated in our lower paddock the glamping area is fenced off for your privacy with  views facing over to  our ancient gill wood and wildlife pond.
