Culmore Bridge Holiday Cottages - Dog Friendly Cottages in Stranraer, Dumfries and Galloway
John and Jacqui look forward to extending a warm welcome to all guests at Culmore Bridge Cottages in beautiful southwest Scotland.
3 Purpose-built, spacious, comfortable bungalows set amid a peaceful woodland area. The cottages are furnished to a very high standard and are wheelchair-friendly throughout.
Within the 9 acre grounds, there are garden areas, wetland and wildlife ponds with protected great crested newts, woodland paths and a viewpoint giving extensive sea views.
The whole development is designed to be wheelchair friendly and will also appeal to all who enjoy a countryside setting, near the sea and beach.
The 3 bungalows available for self-catering holidays are Rowan, Pine and Willow (sorry we do not accept dogs in Willow) Cottages. These detached bungalows each comprise: large lounge/dining room with patio door to decked area, 3 double/twin bedrooms, and two bathrooms, one of which has a level access wet room shower. Beautifully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washer/drier, fridge, full sized freezer, oven, low-level hob and microwave.
So much to see and do!
A 15-minute stroll takes you to a wonderful sandy beach and large dune area.
The nearby village of Sandhead has an excellent village shop, church, bowling green, Internet centre, beach area, children's playground, excellent hotel which does very good meals and fully accessible.
There is also a good hotel, and a new fully-accessible village shop, 1 mile to the north. The main town of Stranraer with shops and many amenities is a 10 minute drive.
The picturesque harbour at Portpatrick is a 20-minute drive and Drummore and the Mull of Galloway a 25-minute drive. Within a short distance there are many beautiful gardens, golf courses, beaches and secluded coves. This corner of Scotland is a wonderful discovery for those who have not yet been here, and for those who have, a place to come back to time and again.
